I’ve seen and heard a lot of things in my life, but heavy metal hurdy- gurdy is a first.

Two questions-
Is that Irish folk metal? It’s cool.
What instrument is she playing?

They describe themselves as Pirate Folk Metal. They appear to be German from my research.
That instrument she’s playing is a Hurdy Gurdy. It’s a mideval string instrument.

I think my love for metal being played on non-metal instruments may have reached fetish status.

Neat. I watched the How It’s Made for a Hurdy -Gurdy last week. I’ve also discovered some really good music via Youtube’s algorithm.

Thanks! I’ll be saying Hurdy Gurdy at inappropriate moments for the next few days.
